I was raised in Southern California and grew up surfing the point breaks of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. I moved to the North Shore 14 years ago for the kick back life style and the big waves of the North Shore. I have been designing surf boards since 1984. In the last 3 years I have expanded my designs to include big wave tow in boards, Hydro foil boards, and kite boards. Kite boards have been my focus. The first time I saw kite boarding I knew this was what I was meant to do. I think each one of us has at least one thing that we were designed to excel at and kite boarding is my thing. Besides the fun and excitement of kite boarding, the things I love most about kite boarding are the good people I have met from all over the world and the life long friendships I have made from kite boarding. I have worked with many of the top professionals like Will James, Jeff Tobias, Martin Vari, Jaime Herriaz, Renee Hanks, Dana Pinto, and others. I get valuable feed back from these pros but I also learn a great deal from every kite boarder who is willing to give me feed back. For this reason I feel I can understand not only the professional rider’s needs but also the average rider’s needs as well. For the last 4 years I have developed the North Kiteboarding kite board line along with the North Kiteboarding team.
